RRAFDC is a non-profitable, non-government organization established in 2000 led by young professionals with diverse expertise. The organization aims to empower marginalized communities through building capacity, skill development, and evidence-based scalable community engagement focusing on livelihoods, environment, disaster management, social empowerment, poverty reduction, child rights, education, and sustainable development. RRAFDC has been working in several districts as a Local Capacity Builder, equipping non-government service providers with skills in agroforestry, renewable energy, and environmental sanitation.

In her own words
As Chairperson of the Rural Region and Agroforestry Development Centre (RRAFDC), I am dedicated to fostering a fair and self-reliant society through sustainable development. We focus on empowering marginalized communities in rural Madhesh Province, Nepal.
Our work spans livelihood promotion, environmental conservation, disaster management, child rights, and gender equality. Through partnerships and community engagement, we aim to empower women, improve food security, and boost climate resilience.
Facing challenges like poverty and climate change, our programs in education, health, and capacity building are key. With a focus on transparency and good governance, I am confident in our efforts to build a more equitable and resilient community.
